5-day Uganda Gorilla Safari

This 5-day Uganda Gorilla safari will start and end in Entebbe/Kampala-Uganda and during this time you will have an experience as you visit some of Uganda’s best National parks such as Bwindi Impenetrable for mountain gorilla treks and Queen Elizabeth National Park for game viewing and a boat ride on the Kazinga channel.                               

Itinerary                               

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable

Morning pick-up from Entebbe or hotel in Kampala by your drive guide for the safari, will brief you and after that drive to the Southwest to
Bwindi impenetrable Forest. Depending on your travel plan, you may have two stopovers. One at the Equator to buy crafts and take photos and another in Mbarara for lunch. then Proceed with your journey to this magnificent forest and home to mountain gorillas and other primate species reaching in the evening. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast or even sometimes packed, always ensure you carry packed lunch from the lodge as you drive straight to the park  headquarters. Here you will meet fellow trekkers and be briefed concerning gorilla trekking. Later you will begin trekking as led by the park ranger guides who are well informed and knowledgeable about these gorillas, how long trekking will take depends on the movement of  mountain gorillas at that time therefore it could last from 2 to 8 hours depending.

You are encouraged to carry enough water, sunglasses, rain coats, hats, and to wear sturdy shoes. You will be allowed to be with the gorillas for only one hour. Return to your lodge and relax. During the evening hours, you can decide to stay at the lodge and rest or visit the Batwa community of which you will discover a lot about their culture and customs but your safari guide will always guide you on what to do next.
Come back for dinner and have an overnight

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth passing through the Ishasha sector which is well known for tree climbing lions and other wildlife species such as monkeys, kobs, buffaloes, elephants, birds among others. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at the lodge, enjoy a yummy lunch there as you prepare to go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. On this boat you will see a lot of water animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants that come to take water as well as different bird species like the malachite kingfisher, saddle billed stork, among others. Head back to the lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive & afternoon boat cruise

Wake up so early, have a cup of coffee and set out for the game drive in Kasenyi track and other track for the morning risers, here you will have chance of seeing lions, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants. After drive back to the lodge have breakfast and also lunch as you get ready for the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which an outstanding activity to do while in this park. Later have dinner at the lodge and overnight there.

Day 5: Morning game drive as you Depart to Kampala

Have breakfast, have a game drive as you drive out of the park, have lunch en-route and reach Entebbe airport for your flight or Kampala at the hotel in the evening.                       

Health

Yellow fever & malaria prophylactics are required.

Visas

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Uganda which can be
obtained on arrival for USD50 per person, single entry. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months.
