10 days Uganda discounted safari is a multi destination safari offering the best way to explore Uganda’s untouched wilderness, landscapes and beautiful heritage. With so many beautiful places and sights Uganda is gifted with 10 national parks that spread wide across the country and it’s very hard to get the most of Uganda in a few days. However, this 10 days long safar, is planned to offer the best of Uganda. The visited national parks in Uganda along with interesting activities like mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi NPK, Chimpanzee trekking of KIbale Forest NPK, wildlife viewing, nature walks, and a whole lot more in the rest of the 8 National Parks.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet greet and transfer you to your hotel for the night Airport Link Guest House Entebbe (BB) You will also receive a full briefing about your safari and will agree on pick up time the next day.

Day 2: Shoebill Tracking and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

This day will start with the shoebill in the morning in the mamba swamp. This is a rare species of bird only found in the few like Uganda, South Sudan, Congo and then transfer to Lake Mburo one of the smallest Savannah park in Uganda covering 390sqkm with a stop at the equator for pictures and then proceed reaching the lodge early evening for check in and dinner and then go for a night game which takes 2 to 3hours.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi Forest.

The morning starts with breakfast and head for a 2hours game drive in the hunt for zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards. You will also visit the cattle farmers for demonstrations on how they feed their long-horned cows, milking and preserving milk before getting it to the market. After transfer to Bwindi forest National park home to the Mountain Gorillas. Your guide-driver will take you through the briefing on the gorilla trekking experience and what to carry along in the morning.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and transfer to L.bunyonyi.

This day is for gorilla trekking through the impenetrable forest. Reach in the morning at the gorilla park for a briefing from the ranger and they will allocate you the gorilla family you are going to visit and its location. Physically fit is highly recommended to be able to reach the gorilla family. After trekking, you will head to L.bunyonyi which is the second deepest lake in Africa with historical islands like Punishment Island and Leprosy Island plus other beautiful islands.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth and kazinga channel boat cruise.

After morning breakfast drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park reaching on time for lunch. This drive will take you through the beautiful landscape of kigezi region. The late afternoon will be for the boat cruise on the famous kazinga channel for Hippopotamus, Buffaloes, antelopes, Elephants, and many water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning Game drive in Kasenyi plains and to kibale Forest

In the morning after breakfast start with a game drive in Queen Elizabeth for Lions, Leopards, spotted hyenas, Elephants, Antelopes, Buffaloes, and many more. Return to the lodge for Lunch and checkout to Kibale forest.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi swamp/community walk.

Wake up for breakfast and drive 15minutes to meet the park ranger for briefing and after start the 3 to 4hours walk to meet chimpanzees in their natural habitat. After Trekking drive back to the lodge for Lunch and afternoon will be for Swamp walk for more chances to see more species of monkeys. Also, the local guide will take you through the local community experience like making banana wine, weaving baskets, preparing a local meal, explaining some of the local herbs from the traditional medicine man.

Day 8: Toro kings palace and to Murchison Falls National Park.

The morning after breakfast and visit the Toro king’s palace here out of the four (4) recognized kingdoms in Uganda, you find the youngest king who succeeded his father at the age of 3 years in 1993. After the palace, you will transfer to Murchison Falls National Park which is the biggest conservation Area in Uganda totaling 5000sqkm with two reserves Karuma reserve and kabwoya Reserve. This park is famous for the mighty falls where the waters flow into 43m depth and 7m width gap before continuing into L.Albert. You will visit the top of the falls before check-in the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Game drive in the morning and boat cruise on the Nile in the afternoon.

After the early breakfast, drive into the park for a game drive in search of Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Giraffes, Antelopes, hyenas, buffaloes, birds, and much more. The afternoon after lunch will be for a boat cruise on the Nile heading towards the falls for elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, crocodiles, birds, and much more. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: To Rhino Sanctuary and Entebbe.

In the morning check out and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking. This activity is done on foot with a ranger guide and takes 1 to 2 hours. Drive out for lunch and proceed to Entebbe for departure.

Overnight optional

If staying in Entebbe, You can request assistance at the time of your booking. If departing Entebbe same night, please note your vehicle returns to Entebbe late afternoon (approximately 4:00 pm) so DO NOT book flights departing prior to 8:00 pm in order to allow time for security, check in and any delays.

Yellow fever & malaria prophylactics are required.

Visas

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Uganda which can be obtained on arrival for USD50 per person, single entry. Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months.
